Prescriptions
Please allow 2 working days for your repeat prescriptions to be processed. Please help us by not waiting to your last tablet to request a repeat. All requests must be made in writing.
Please be aware that prescriptions can take 24 to 48 hours to be dispensed at your nominated chemist, and some chemists could be longer. Please discuss with your local chemist locally regarding prescription turnaround times.
Prescription requests can be made using the tick slip attached to your paper prescription, in writing either by post or handed in at reception, in our online.
We do not accept telephone requests for repeat prescriptions in order to avoid errors that occur with this means of communication.
Collections
If you enclose a stamped addressed envelope we will post the prescription to you. You can also request your prescription to be forwarded to a nominated chemist (to conform to the Data Protection Act we will need this request in writing).
Repeat Dispensing
If you are currently stable on 4 or less repeat medications Repeat Dispensing may be for you. Pick up a leaflet from Reception or speak to the Prescription Clerk for more information.
Medication Reviews
Patients on repeat medications will be contacted by the practice to speak to a medical professional. Some medications may need reviewing more frequently than others, and some not as much. The majority of our medication reviews are carried out by our Clinical Pharmacist Team over the telephone. If you wish to discuss your medication with a pharmacist, please contact our reception team.
Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
